Everyone remembers their first (and then promptly deletes it before anyone sees)… So here it is… the very first post of my new portfolio website. I’m using WordPress and think I’ve finally found a CMS system that I actually LIKE. I’ve created several websites, going all the way back to the very beginnings of HTML web development (anyone remember GeoCities?). Recently I’ve created sites using Expression Engine, Drupal and even one called SilverStripe.
Creating websites is getting easier and easier, not everyone can do it – but I bet it won’t be long before some smart nerds invent a way for your MOM to build a killer website with minimal effort or knowledge. I’ve seen it happen before! I knew my days as a graphic artist were numbered the first time I caught my own mother using PhotoShop to cut and paste her own head onto a photo of her pet parakeet.
